Cafe Noir (Demo)

Welcome to Cafe Noir, a dark fantasy dating sim! Meet the person of your dreams and interact with unique characters in this independently-created game!

You're a newcomer in the small town, and while you take a break from unpacking, you decide to visit a bookstore called Prose Before Hoes! From there, you can interact and possibly pursue a romance with six different characters: 

Tobi Adams

Tobi is a fiery hothead with a lazy streak and a love of music. He can usually be found dozing somewhere in the bookstore. He may seem a bit short-fused at first, but one can quickly see that he's just a sweetie with a big heart.

Corbin Silva

Corbin is an intimidating man with quite a bit of anger issues and emotional baggage. He acts like an asshole to everyone he meets, but under the surface, it's like he's a completely different person...

Stephen Adams

Stephen is the charming manager of the bookstore, and he welcomes everyone with a smile and a positive attitude. He's a big teddy bear with a love for family and sports, and cares about those around him with a fierce loyalty.

Rory Stevens

Rory is the newest (and youngest) worker at the bookstore and is anxious and easily flustered, but he tries his best with everything he does. He's passionate about cooking and baking, and always tries to be positive and is a little ray of sunshine!

Silas Carson

Silas is quiet and often broody, but once he gets over his initial social anxieties, one will see that he is passionate about all things nerdy, such as anime/manga, video games, and cosplay, and he is always longing for an emotional bond.

Alec Marrs

Being deaf and mute hasn't ever held Alec back from achieving whatever he wants in life. He doesn't let anything hold him back, especially not from delivering mass amounts of sass when necessary. Alec is a very caring individual, and he isn't afraid to stand up for his fellow workers if need be.

If none of these eligible bachelors don't catch your eye, then no need to worry! Head on over to the late night cafe, Cafe Noir! Here, you can interact with one of five more characters:

Armen Moore

Armen is a fun-loving, bubbly girl who is always down for some wild night out or a chill night smoking a joint. People can't help but smile when she's around as her happy attitude is contagious, and she tries to make sure everyone always feels included.

Marina Torres

Marina is a very soft-spoken woman. She loves antique shops, tea, and a good book, and is very mild-tempered. But she has a hidden fire that comes out when she stands up for something that matters a lot to her, and she is loyal to all those around her.

Ji-Ho Cheong

Ji-Ho has a love of athletics and is usually seen doing yoga or going for a jog when not at work. She does have a bit of an attitude, but this often only comes out if one of her friends are being messed with.

Anastasia Park

Anastasia is quiet and secluded, and has a hard time opening up to strangers. But she is a sweet, clever young woman who loves anything having to do with flowers and plants, and makes some extra money selling flower crowns that she makes by hand. She is creative and loving, just needs some help getting out of his bubble.

Tate Andrews

Tate is the grumpy, alcoholic manager of the cafe. He keeps an eye on all of his workers and will protect them at all costs. He's lived a long life of pain and loss, and is looking for a spark of happiness in his bleak life.

But all of these available bachelors and bachelorettes have some secrets; the workers of the bookstore are all members of a werewolf pack, and all of the cafe baristas are blood-sucking vampires!

Get to know each of these characters through dates that gradually grow more intimate and personal, learning their dark secrets and their twisted pasts, figuring out past relationships with other characters, and possible new ones! 

STILL IN PROGRESS. This is only the demo! When I complete the game, I'm hoping to release it on Steam possibly, but until then, I'll have it here for free for people to try out!
